What the Media Doesn’t Tell You

There are a LOT of good people in the world today.

If you check the news on TV, radio, internet, or newspaper, you will miss them.  But…

I found them.

I discovered many years ago what the media doesn’t tell you.  They rarely mention to you anything about all the good that happens in the world.  Good things are happening all the time!

I found a couple magazines that tell the stories you don’t hear about in the general media.  I love both these magazines, along with all their sister (hmmm, why is it sister and not brother?) magazines.

The Ensign, put out by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and Country, put out by Reiman Publications, helped me get to know a lot of good and wonderful people in the world today.  It is thrilling and inspiring to see how many people there are who are simply trying to live good lives and raise good families, be kind and helpful to their neighbors, and support and love others.

These people live honest lives, work hard, and are the backbone of their communities.  We are all reaping the benefits of these people.  They make a positive difference in the lives of those around them and of all those who know them.  We are strengthened by their examples.  We strive just a little harder to hang in there, not to give up, to continue doing good, to be courageous when great problems arise.

These good people bring friendship and healing to those within their spheres of influence.  Often they lead us to greater faith in and conviction to God and to the realization of who we really are and what we really can accomplish!

To you good and marvelous people throughout the world, I salute you!  And I thank you for the role model you provide for myself, my family, and for the people around you.  🙂
