I talked with my mother on the phone this morning. We had a good visit. I love talking to her.
I try to stay in touch fairly regularly. We catch up with what is going on in each other’s lives, sharing the good as well as the bad that is happening to us.
You know, our mothers help keep us in line all our lives. They were the first ones to love and teach and guide us when we were young. They sacrificed so much for us so we could have it better than they did. Usually that meant giving up what they wanted, or even needed, so we could have the things that we need.
Mothers are warm and tender and caring…and hard!
They actually make you
- do your homework,
- clean your room,
- finish your chores,
- eat your vegetables,
- practice your instrument,
- and/or your athletics,
- apologize to people you hurt (even when they don’t know about it),
- be nice to your family,
- and go to church!
I am eternally grateful for that one! Well, really for all of them. 🙂
Yes, thank you, Father in Heaven, for mothers.
Just think what we would be without them!
