I love seeing the abundance of wildlife out there.
For instance, I just walked over to grab lunch and saw an owl in the eaves of the building on my way out, and a baby rabbit on the rocks next to the grass on my way back. And all along the way I heard several birds tweeting away, enjoying the sunny day!
Over the years, in this “neck of the woods”, I’ve seen squirrels galore, many rabbits, raccoons now and then (one was the size of a good-sized dog), garter snakes and foxes a couple of times, many different birds, and even deer.
What an amazing world Father in Heaven created! Have you ever wondered about the importance and destiny of animals?
Here’s what the Lord has stated in modern-day revelation. This is found in Doctrine and Covenants Section 77:
“1 Q. What is the sea of glass spoken of by John, 4th chapter, and 6th verse of the Revelation? A. It is the earth, in its sanctified, immortal, and eternal state.
“2 Q. What are we to understand by the four beasts, spoken of in the same verse? A. They are figurative expressions, used by the Revelator, John, in describing heaven, the paradise of God, the happiness of man, and of beasts, and of creeping things, and of the fowls of the air; that which is spiritual being in the likeness of that which is temporal; and that which is temporal in the likeness of that which is spiritual; the spirit of man in the likeness of his person, as also the spirit of the beast, and every other creature which God has created.”
